Jozef Gergely

Jozef Gergely graduated biology at the Faculty of Science of the University of Novi Sad in 1982. Since 1984, she has worked at Senta editorial office of the daily Magyar Szò. Besides journalism, he also deals with ecological and ornithological researches. Together with his colleagues of the same interest, Ecology Society Rihard Čornai in Subotica was founded in 1987. Every summer, it organises ecological camps, the actions of bird banding, and lectures to the topics of environment protection for pupils and students. He is the President of Vojvodinian society of ornithologists and bird protection and the editor of the almanac of the same society (Ciconia). He is the author of several individual exhibitions in Senta, Ada, Subotica, Novi Sad, Budapest, Hódmezővásárhely.
