VIVISECTfest 02: Photographers
Andraš Otoš
Andraš Otoš has been dealing with photography since his early childhood. He was taught the skills of taking photographs and recording by his father, Andraš Otoš senior. In the former Yugoslavia, when he was primary and secondary school student, he won the first prise at national competition of small technicians in film category for twelve times. He won numerous prizes for his photography and recording work. Since 1984, he has been a photojournalist of the daily Magyar Szò. As the photojournalist, he followed all political and sport events. In the war years of 90s, he took photographs in Serbia, Croatia, and Kosovo. Together with Laslo Dorman, the exhibition of war photographs was organised in Hungary and France, for which he got Forum award. In 1989, he got a special Tanjug award for sport photography. Since the foundation of TV Dunav, in the co-operation with his colleagues, he has made reports as a cameraman and editor for editorial offices in diaspora, as well as for the channel two of Hungarian TV.
