Danilo Krstanović

Started to deal with photography as a young boy. Since 1972 he has started to deal with it in a professional manner at Oslobodjenje, while in 1995, he worked for Reuters Agency. He covered wars in the territory of the former Yugoslavia. He got many awards in the former Yugoslavia, and almost all awards were for sport photography. He got many international awards. Before the war, he had many individual and common exhibitions, and after the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina he had three individual exhibitions and two common ones that were displayed throughout the world.

Published three books of photographs: Sarajevo; The Wounded City, Sarajevo; and The Sarajevo-Self Portrait.
