Began working as a Freelance in London in the early 1990's for The Guardian and The Observer. In 1999 he covered the Kosovo war and moved to the Balkans at the end of that year where he has been based until recently. He has won prizes in World Press Photo for his coverage on the Environmental Protest movement in the UK as well as Post War Kosovo. Other prizes include the Amnesty International Photojournalist of the Year for his coverage of the Kosovo War and the Nikon Photo Essay Award for his work on Road Protesters in the UK. His work has been published in major international newspapers and magazines such as Newsweek, Time, The New York Times, Stern, Mare, Der Spiegel and Geo.
