Helena Koder graduated from the Faculty of Humanities in Ljubljana. She is a screenwriter and a director of many documentary films for RTV Slovenia. At the First Slovenian Film Festival in Portorož she was awarded for the best documentary film and won the Jože Babić Award for her documentary "Magradelnice gospe Radojke Vrančič".
