Film plot

Pristina, Kosovo, 31.12.2003. In Pristina 100 Serbs remained out of 40,000 who lived there before the 1999 conflict. When they were forced to leave their homes, they had nowhere to go to but to cram into the "Yu Programme" building block in Pristina downtown where state officials once lived. They went there for several days only, yet they stayed there for five years never leaving the one-building ghetto. Adults spent their time drinking cold drinks in the basement of the grocery shop, children were chasing pigeons on the building roof and playing football in the corridors, and nobody wanted to give up New Year´s celebration.

Boris Mitić is a self-taught film maker who has bought a movie camera, left a highly respected job of a journalist and turned to documentary film directing.
